What We Offer

The NRASL OFFERS a Tots program, a Recreational program, and a competitive Travel program. Tots, Recreational, Soccer Summer Camp and HOME U09-U15 Travel games are typically hosted at Root Road Park here in North Ridgeville. We also utilize Victory Park and NRCS Ranger High Tech Academy for training opportunities.

Recreational Soccer Program

NRASL’s in-house program provides fun, non-competitive soccer for children ages 3–15 of all skill levels. Our goal is to build a love for the game while teaching skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship in a supportive environment. Teams are coed at the U5–U6 level, separated into boys and girls from U7–U11, and typically coed again for U12–U14. Games for U5–U15 are played on six Saturday mornings at the Root Rd. Soccer Complex, with optional practices organized by volunteer coaches using a professional curriculum. Our program runs on community support, and parents are encouraged to volunteer during registration.

Tots Soccer Program

For our youngest players, typically between the ages of three and four, we have a 4-week TOTS Program each spring and fall.

We introduce the game in a fun but instructional way with the goal of teaching very basic skills:  passing, dribbling, trapping, and shooting.  TOTS is a parents assisted program and each parent will work with their child practicing the skills.  Don’t worry, no previous soccer experience is required.

Each season will have four sessions.  Each session will start with a focused single skill training where the skill is demonstrated. This is followed by “games” so that the kids begin to learn concepts such as shooting at an opponents goal, out of bounds, and utilizing learned technical skills.

Travel Soccer Program

The mission of the Travel Program is to foster a love for the game by creating an environment where players can develop their skills and passion, while also preparing them for competitive play at the high school level.

NRASL’s Travel soccer teams are organized by gender and birth year. NRS plays matches within the Ohio Travel Soccer League (OHTSL) and practices twice weekly with one additional supplemental training session.

Player development is strategically guided by the NRASL Director of Coaching and supported by our dedicated coaching staff. The current Director of Coaching is George Panagiotou, who also serves as the head coach for North Ridgeville High School’s men’s soccer team.

What is NRASL Travel Soccer?

Players are coached and trained by parent volunteers at our younger ages and coaches from our High School programs at the older age groups. Travel soccer is for players working to acquire a higher-level of skills and competition than NRASL’s In-House Development Program (Recreational) and who aspire to play and compete at the high school level. Teams have a volunteer “parent” team manager who coordinates communication with team families, schedules, and other relevant information from NRASL (board, admin and coaches).

Winter Indoor Leagues

Indoor winter leagues are offered from November through March for travel players wishing to continue playing.

Supplemental Training

Supplemental training occurs throughout the year for travel players looking to get extra touches.  This includes days throughout the fall and spring travel seasons, winter sessions from November through March, and sessions over the summer.
